About ForexMechanics

What this project is

ForexMechanics is a free, comprehensive forex course designed for traders who want to understand the market – not be sold to. Every article is built on institutional data (BIS Triennial Survey, ESMA product intervention reports, CFTC Commitments of Traders), regulatory filings, and first-hand market experience. There are no affiliate links disguised as broker reviews, no signal services, and no "secret strategy" behind a paywall.

The course covers the full spectrum of retail forex education: from how a currency pair is quoted to regulatory architecture, from position sizing models to the tax implications of a prop firm payout. As of 2026, the course contains over 144 articles across 16 sections.

What this project is not

  • Not investment advice. Nothing on this site constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial instrument. See the full disclaimer.
  • Not a broker ranking. We do not accept payment from brokers, and we do not run affiliate programmes. When we mention a broker by name, it is as an example of a market practice – not an endorsement.
  • Not a shortcut. The course is designed to build durable understanding, not to generate quick wins. If you are looking for a signal service or a "guaranteed" strategy, this is not the right place.

Why it exists

Most retail forex education falls into two categories: oversimplified introductions that skip everything dangerous, and marketing funnels disguised as courses. The first type leaves traders unprepared. The second type profits from their losses. ForexMechanics exists to fill the gap – to provide the kind of education that a serious trader would eventually piece together from BIS reports, regulatory filings, academic papers, and years of live market experience, but in a structured, accessible format.

The site is the English-language counterpart of the forex section on MyBank.pl, a Polish financial education portal operating since 2004.

Editorial principles

  • Data over opinion. Claims are backed by institutional sources, regulatory data, or documented market events. When something is the author's opinion, it is labelled as such.
  • No conflicts of interest. No affiliate links, no sponsored content, no broker partnerships. The site generates no revenue from directing you to any broker or service.
  • Transparent risk framing. Between 74% and 89% of retail CFD clients in the EU lose money (per mandatory broker risk disclosures). We do not hide this. It frames every article we write.
  • Living content. Articles are updated when regulations change, data is revised, or market structure evolves. Publication and modification dates are displayed on every article.
