How pip value works on CAD/CHF
One pip on CAD/CHF is a price move of 0.0001. Its cash value is not fixed – it scales with how many units of Canadian Dollar you trade. Multiply your lot size by the contract size to get units (a standard lot is 100,000), then multiply the pip size by those units to get the pip value in the quote currency, CHF. If your account is held in CHF that figure is final; otherwise convert it at the CHF→account rate.
Worked example
Trading one standard lot of CAD/CHF (100,000 units) makes a single pip worth 10 CHF; ten pips are 100 CHF. A mini lot (10,000 units) is 1 CHF per pip and a micro lot (1,000 units) is 0.1 CHF. For an account in another currency, multiply by the CHF→account exchange rate (the calculator does this for you).
