Profit Split

The agreed division of eligible profit or a contractual trading reward between parties. The percentage must be read with the definition of eligible profit, costs, caps and payout conditions. An advertised split does not mean that the same percentage of every displayed gain is immediately withdrawable.
Example.

Eligible results are USD 2,000 and the agreement awards the trader 80%, or USD 1,600. A further USD 20 payment charge leaves USD 1,580 before taxes. The base need not include every gain shown on the platform.

The split denominator

Determine whether the share applies to after-cost profit, a simulation reward or another base. Separate rules can exclude trades, cap amounts or require a retained buffer.

Percentage versus programme economics

A higher split need not produce more income. Include evaluation, reset, platform and conversion charges and denial risk. Compare all cash flows rather than advertised percentages alone.

Contracts and changes

Check the qualification period, effective date and any power to change rules. A split does not independently determine tax character or ownership of the displayed balance.

FAQ

Does a 90% split guarantee withdrawal of 90% of the balance?

No. It applies to a defined eligible base, not the entire account.

Can firms be compared using split alone?

No. Limits, fees, account model and enforceability matter as well.
