cTrader
In a hypothetical EUR/USD specification, 0.10 lot represents EUR 10,000. A program mistakenly sending a volume argument of 0.10 units instead of the required 10,000 units may be rejected or create unintended size. Verify the order-entry and API unit for the actual function.
Platform and account
cTrader provides an environment for analysis, order management and supported automated tools. Instrument details, margin, fees and execution come from the account and provider. The same interface can connect to different contractual arrangements; it does not establish ECN access or a regulatory permission.
Automation and volume
Current cTrader Algo documentation covers cBots and indicators using C# or Python. Check the specific API, quantity unit, symbol mapping and volume rounding. A compiling robot can still mishandle duplicate signals, partial fills or reconnection. Keep a versioned record of inputs and confirmed executions.
Test the actual workflow
Compare the relevant Bid/Ask with triggers and fills, and confirm the account’s supported order types. Verify where protective mechanisms operate and what continues after disconnection. Demo helps test operation but does not reproduce every live execution condition. Consult cTrader order documentation and cTrader Algo for the current implementation.
FAQ
Does cTrader prove that my broker uses A-Book?
No. Platform technology and the provider’s risk-management policy are separate.
Can a cBot be assumed to use lots everywhere?
No. Check each interface’s volume unit and normalisation rules before submitting orders.
