Regulation & safety

CySEC

The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission, the national authority supervising securities-market activities within its remit in Cyprus. Authorisation applies to a particular legal entity and permitted activities. It does not automatically cover other entities using the same brand or grant unrestricted worldwide permission to offer investment services.
Example.

Two companies share a brand but are incorporated in Cyprus and another country. The first company's CIF authorisation does not automatically cover the second. Match the agreement's entity to official records, permissions and approved domains.

Register and activity scope

CySEC supervises participants within Cypriot and EU law. Verify CIF status and activities; a listing alone does not settle every service or overseas activity.

EU passporting

Services in another member state can depend on the relevant passporting process. CySEC does not replace every local requirement, and its authorisation does not permit unrestricted global offerings.

Compensation versus losses

The applicable ICF covers eligible claims under its conditions. It does not reimburse ordinary market losses or automatically cover every client and product. Balance protection and segregation are separate safeguards.
