Regulation & safety

Licensed Broker / Investment Advisor

An investment adviser who holds the authorisation or professional qualification required for the relevant activity in a particular jurisdiction. Protected titles, examinations and permitted services differ between countries. Verify the individual and firm in the appropriate register rather than assuming that the title alone authorises advice everywhere.
Example.

A person presents a trading-course certificate and calls themselves an adviser. The certificate alone establishes neither legally required qualifications nor the firm's permission for a service. Check the individual and entity in registers relevant to the country and activity.

Individuals and firms

Professional qualifications and firm authorisation serve different functions. Polish securities-broker and investment-adviser qualifications are distinct. Protected titles and permitted services vary by jurisdiction.

Identify the service

General education, recommendations, personal advice and portfolio management are different activities. Substance and delivery matter beyond an invoice label or disclaimer.

Verification and conflicts

Match the name, number, current status and firm. Ask about remuneration and broker relationships. Authorisation guarantees neither profit nor absence of conflicts; appropriate service assessment remains necessary.
